Performance Circle’s client, Cardiff University, has made the shortlist of The Times Higher Education Leadership & Management Awards 2016, the winner of which is to be announced in November 2016.
Cardiff University is a front runner in the Leadership Excellence category and a large part of their commitment to excellent leadership was commissioning Performance Circle to deliver its Leadership Lifestyle Programme to their staff.
The programme took place over seven-months and combined coaching and training, delivered both inside and outdoors.
Since undertaking the programme, staff have reviewed and re-evaluated both their leadership styles and their approach to work and the working environment. Cardiff University lists just some of the benefits as being: reduction in stress related absences; greater resilience and a stronger more confident team; as well as mental and physical benefits through knowledge and application of positive psychology, exercise at work and attention to sleep hygiene. Participants reported an overwhelming sense of empowerment in addition to an overall improved quality of life and satisfaction levels at work and at home.
